2008 in review
|

alhamdulillah...
2008. tahun yg sungguh bermakna. tak keterlaluan kalau aku labelkan 2008 adalah tahun yg paling menarik dlm sejarah kehidupan Siti Hajar Abdullah Sani selama 26 tahun di atas muka bumi ini. Syukur alhamdulillah ke hadrat ilahi di atas limpah kurniaNya.
So, I would like to review and make some wrap up stories about what had happened to me throughout the year.
January
- I started my own fotopages
- I went to Bali with my colleague. This was the best oversea trip.
February
- it seems like I can't remember any activities within this month
March
- what happen to me? Have I loss my mind? can't remember anything.. aaargh
April
- I went to Sabah.. wow, seriously Sabah is really amazing. Planning to go there soon for the 2nd time in April 2009. Mount Kinabalu, just wait for me to come and get you!
May
- the adventures continues. I was in Redang Island for 3D2N.. the beach is so superb.. white and clean sandy beach.. Wish to go there again as well, but next time around, I want to scuba dive... (of course I have to take the license first which I don't know when.. huhuhuhu)
- ara's wedding.. oooh, tired like hell... no more kenduri after this please (except my big day  )
June
- hmm, so I went to the east coast again. Marang to be specific. 2nd time experience for mencandat sotong. It was fun, tired, nauseated and well, one of a kind feeling.. but whatever it is, never give up on mencandat sotong yet.
July
- Beauty & The Beast Musical... got free tics from Pipot..
- Sultan Selangor's cup @ Shah Alam stadium.. best giler..
- KL view at night. with my peculiar and bizarre housemates
- Kuala Gandah & Bukit Tinggi trip.. it was one day trip.. best. free and easy, yet, penat gila... semua benda crammed in one day. the journey itself, long driving to Kuala Gandah, back to KL again, heavy dinner and movie to catch later. fuhh.. exhausted
August
- Bangkok. here we come!!!. Bangkok, ok la.. only Ina and me.. Kalo pegi reramai, sure best.. eventhough we're on our own (no tour guide involved except the Chao Praya cruise), we managed to have some fun and everything that we planned went very well.
September
- it was Ramadhan month. Not much of activities. Had several bukak pose with Aca, Ina and Pipot.... lepak2 kat fountain KLCC is a must for us.
October
- Eid al Mubarak.. Balik Kampong time.. we gathered and celebrated the Hari Raya happily.. main bunga api best woo.. sampai terbakar pijama baru aku from London. cisss!!! and another bad news, tangan aku melecur kena bunga api jugak. luckily, that was just minor. nasib baik masa tu aku bukannya pakai my precious and brand new Arsenal's jersey. lega!!! (Thanx to Didi and duit sponsor JPA from gomen like Didi said for the jersey)
November
- the month just goes by.. ape benda aku buat hah?
December
- Yah!! Bandoeng!!! we planned the trip since last February.. and we waited patiently for the days to come. and taraaaa...that's it.. we're ready to enjoy the family trip... it was very meaningful, superb, plg best and gempak, well planned and yet still not enough time to shop.. shop till u drop. that really suited us very well. hope there'll be another family trip in the future (of course with the participation from other family members too, Othman's and Jafri's families, you are so much welcome to join us).. 
- pegi Padang Besar and Bukit Kayu Hitam blk hari.. masa kat area Chuping, boleh rasa mcm kat countryside England. mcm kat area Stonehenge.. open green fields (without the sheeps, cows, and pigs of course). i'm not exaggerrating, Apit told the same thing also OK
P.s. : actually all summary based on previous entry.. aktiviti lain yang tidak di tulis dlm fotopages aku tak ingat.. maklumlah, aku takde dan mmg tak suka tulis diari. itu la bahananya takde diari.. nak kata otak mcm memory comp tak pulak. so, InsyaAllah next time, aku akan rajin update fotopages ni.. sort of online diary but only going to write important events in my life.

2. Seriously support Selangor bagai nak rak.. siap rajin g stadium shah alam lagi. maklumlah, sekangkang kera dr rumah je. Piala Malaysia & Sultan Selangor's cup
3. Olimpik 2008 kat Beijing.. sukan yg paling menarik --> Archery
4. Euro 2008. hosted by Switzerland & Austria
5. atlet yg macho lagi segak.. Rafael Nadal. yeah, you're my man
6. best newcomer artist --> David Cook. American Idol yang plg best
7. Raja Lawak 2 Nabil. superb. tgk byk kali part nabil pun tak kisah.
8. Buku2 from Steph Meyer sgt layan... Vampire, Rock it Baby
9. not to forget, Valentino Rossi back to the champion title. Yes!!!

Kenapa saya suka bandung;
makan sedap. sejuk. harga barang adalah reasonable and affordable. guesthouse yang kitaorg duduk adalah sangat cozy dan best. mana nk dapat rate murah mcm tu bilik siap ada living room segala. banyak tempat yg boleh shopping. org yg sgt peramah. tak jem sgt macam jakarta. pegi dgn famili sendiri adalah sgt best. ada org yg support makan (abah). naqib ngan haiqal yg comel pun join skali. belanja sakan mcm tak ingat dunia in the end duit balance yg tinggal adalah 3000 rupiah saje (RM1.00). tempat2 yang nak pegi semua dekat. jeans levi's sgt murah dkt toko tiga. pak supir kitaorg sgt baik dan best. dpt buat creambath and manicure. baju2/kain kat pasar baru murah dan cantik2. ada pisang keju. Risoles adalah my most favorit food. es teller. i'm so into batagor. rumah mode. grande.byk la factory outlet yg lain2. pa' chi met. d cost seafood sgt murah. taman safari indonesia, bogor. masjid atta'awun yg nyaman. hotel novus puncak yg sgt best dan sejuk (takde aircond pun kat hotel room). van kitaorg besar boleh sumbat semua org dgn beg2 skali. last dinner kat calista, atas bukit jalan dago pakar dgn pak sunny.
Apa yang saya tak suka sangat;
asyik hujan. tak byk kedai cd (kalo ada pun collection tak best sgt). brg beli byk sgt sampai excess baggage (FYI, byrn utk excess baggage kitaorg adalah 1 juta rupiah (RM300++)). dah mcm boleh beli another return tic KL-BDO. tak cukup masa nk shopping dan buat aktiviti lain2 wpun stay bandung 6 hari 5 mlm. byk sgt org2 yg jual kat tepi jalan/kaki 5. pengamen.
Perkara menarik semasa di Bandung;
1. masa dekat Hotel Novus Puncak, ada seekor beruk/kera kt balkoni kitaorg. aku menjerit mcm org gila berlari meninggalkan bilik.. dah tk pikir org lain dah.
2. masa kat Pasar Baru, aku telah membuat satu rekod iaitu pembelian baju dlm masa yg paling singkat. tak sampai 1 minit. mcm touch n go. (dialog: ibu, berapa harga baju ini... ooh 30,000.. ok, saya ambil...) huh, done..
3. rumah mode dan Pasar Baru kami telah mengulang pergi.. (pergi 2 x)
4. jumpa ramai sgt org Malaysia kat Bandung.. especially kat rumah makan..
5. setakat ini, dah 3 kali aku pegi Tmn safari Indonesia itu.. dan aku rasa, lepas ni, cukup2lah... aku dah tanak pegi dah!!!!

kenapa Dublin best????
1. boleh tour city dgn berjalan kaki shj. bandar yg agak kecik dan nyaman.
2. punya la tersorok Hard Rock Cafe Dublin, tapi kitaorg dpt gak cari. actually coincidence je tuh. terlalu dpn HRC tanpa niat pun.
3. yg ni serius coincidence yg melampau. org Malaysia pertama yg aku jumpa kat Dublin adalah Hanan, my ex schoolmate masa kat Kusess dulu. takde pun kitaorg janji nak jumpa wpun aku ada mention kat hanan aku nk g sana. Hanan masa tu otw nak g opis dia baru balik dr conference. kelakar gila. menjerit2 aku kt street tu jumpa hanan. hahahhahaha
4. Dublin ni aku boleh gelarkan mini Malaysia. dah la small city, byk gila student Malaysia. bersepah-sepah.. tak pyh risau la kalau sesat ke, nak cari mana2 tempat ke. confirm anytime pegi je tanya student2 Malaysia yg ramai gila tuh.
5. souvenir Ireland cantik2. maybe because of the colour kot. byk orange n hijau.. and then byk leprechaun yg comel, biri yg comel, etc
6. Ireland guna currency Euro...

London - Windsor Castle - Stonehenge - Bath City - Nottingham
25th November 2006
Well... Pagi2 dah bgn. we'd already pack the luggage last nite...so, bgn, mandi, had breakfast in our own room and off we go to the nearest tube station. Sampai Victoria station terus carik Victoria coach station.. Puas la tanya org direction, jauh gak berjalan tu. luckily we managed to be there on time. fuhh.. bas ni mmg one day tour.. so the places that we gonna visit afterward --> Windsor castle, stonehenge, bath and have a glimpse of Wales. only then, back to london again.
from my opinion, this trip was the best part of my europe tour. hmm, kenapa yek... I like this kind of activity.. trip yg sungguh bermakna.. mcm lawatan sambil belajar.. well, u've got to learn something of course.. Windsor Castle adalah sgt best.. impressive.. ada audio guide. tu yg best tu.. tak yah la nk berhenti baca from the info board. quite effective. abot 2 hours gak kt WC ni, then kitaorg pun g stonehenge.. the view along the journey sungguh menarik.. bole nampak open field nun menghijau.. very peaceful and lovely.. byk sheeps, cows, pigs (eeuww) and many more.. masa kat stonehenge pun ada audio guide... cuaca ada lah very windy and sejuk.. brrrr... sejuk wei wpun ada sunlight.. dlm satu jam abih la round area stonehenge.. maybe certain org rasa tempat tu apalah sgt sekadar batu berdiri tegak je mcm tu..but for me, rasa mcm dah back to the old times.. kita wonder mcm mana org dulu hidup.. hmm..
lepas tu menuju ke bath... bath city adalah sgt antik dan cantik..sgt cantik..building kat lereng bukit... buiding nye very ancient and gothic.. u know.. that kind of creepy feeling (for me la). but it's worth a visit.. actually bath is also known as roman city.. dulu2 org roman yg berkuasa kat sini.. ada satu hot spring yg sgt cantik.. as usual, ada audio guide jugak.. kalo betul2 nak tau all about the hot spring kena spend 1 day tp sbb tak cukup masa kitaorg amik masa dlm 2 jam to complete the tour. lps jalan2 sekejap kat bath city, ada la masuk mark & spencer jap.. dah selesai semua, headed back to london.. on the way back, leh aa nak tgk a glimpse of Wales.. Bath dah dkt dh dgn Wales tuh.. sampai London, again carik Victoria coach station lagik to catch our bus to Nottingham, menuju ke rumah Kak Dal and Midon (ct's bestfriend). it took almost 3 hours to reach Notts.. Kak dal and Midon dah bersedia menunggu kitaorg kat stesen bas.. yeay!! sampai2 umah, kak dal dh prepare us with nasi lemak + udang + ayam .. Kak Dal, Love You!!! Thank You Very Much.. MUahhh

Amsterdam (Hook of Holland) - Harwich - London
24th - 25th November 2006
Naik ferry cruise. From Hook of Holland port --> Harwich port. bermalam kat bilik 9137. dinner on the cruise. serius tamak. semua org amik mknn like there's no tomorrow. crazy.. last2 mcm tak abih mula la nak sorok2 bawah pinggan. serius lawak.
so dapat la aku merasa naik ferry cruise. depart then subuh2 esoknya sampai harwich. tp yg tak best takleh nak feel sgt sbb malam, gelap gelita serius tak nampak apa. tapi angin sejuk tak hengat punya...sejuk sampai tulang sumsum..
ZZZZZzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
Taraaaaa!!!! dah sampai bumi UK.. the best part was, our bus driver serious hot stuff.. takde la mcm Mr Edward tu (dah la pekak... hehheehehe) mmg muka muda remaja.. bersemangat sei...naik bus dalam 2 1/2 jam jugak. terus gi London. nampak la london eye, westminster abbey, Parliament.. tapi harem tak masuk pun. jalan kaki sebelah je... then g tower (London) Bridge.. amik gambar ala kadar sbb memory stick dh full.. dpt jugak la tgk foot guards.. kalo korng tak tau apa tu foot guards cr kt google. benda seram ke? makanan ke ? carik sendiri. pastu terus g Buckingham Palace... we're so lucky sbb dpt tgk the ritual changing the guards..
right after that lunch kat restoran mawar. finally dpt gak la mkn2 mknn malaysia. fuh lega. tapi org kat restoren mawar not so friendly. kita dahlah minority kat london tu, but then i can't feel the warmness at all.. even pegi restoren indonesia, rasa mcm very much appreciated je by them sbb kita kan serumpun. hmm, ntah ler..tukar duit pound kat kedai ru ncit2 gitu je. alahai ciput je dapat. currency pound sterling ni besar betul la. kalo gaji aku sebulan convert jd pound sterling brape ratus hinggit je.. cettt..lps makan check in kat novotel hotel.
dah rehat2 jap, jln2 lagi naik tube. wow, serius i like the experiences in london. kitaorg g madam tussauds, piccadily circus, china town, hard rock cafe london, hmm and many more. kitaorg dpt gak naik double storey bus tu.. mmg cita2 aku drpd kecik nak naik bus tu.. dulu2 kat kl ada bas merah 2 tingkat tp aku tak berkesempatan nk naik.. (budak2 generasi baru sure tak tau psl ni) akhirnya, aku berjaya di london. ..
mlm tido dgn amannya.. esok nya ct n me had our own agenda. kitaorg dah tak join dgn grup tour europe kitaorg.. so after say goodbye, hugs n kisses kitaorg pun berpisah.
to my tour mate, kak hazer, ida, makcik selambe land, parents pada kanak2 ribena along, angah, khazim and etc (aku dah lupa nama2 diorg sbnrnya) thanx a lot. you guys were so great to me along the journey. I had great fun and really enjoyed. till we meet again and may Allah always bless all of you. to ben, our tour guide, u've done a good job. thanx for bear with us.

bertolak dari Paris pukul 8 am menuju ke Amsterdam. Dalam perjalanan singgah utk sight seeing, shopping and lunch at Brussel, Belgium. tak byk tmpt menarik kat Brussel. kitaorg cuma pegi Atomic tower, lalu dpn pagoda ngan pavillion China tu.. takde mende la kesimpulannya.

20th - 22nd NOVEMBER 2006
Lucerne - Basel - Dijon - Paris
breakfast kat Postillon Hotel. then mula bergerak for our next destination, Paris. Along the journey we made a few stops. @ Basel for immigration purpose. Basel ni borders in between Swiss & France. Boleh nampak byk kilang2 kat sini. Basel adalah Industrial city for Swiss. then berenti kat stesten minyak Shell. rest kejap. next, @ Dijon berenti for lunch and later berenti semayang kt satu masjid kt Dijon. late of the evening br sampai Paris. Mr Edward was our bus driver from Lucerne to Paris dan hari2 seterusnya. Dia ni byk karenah sket. tak boleh mkn dlm bas dia. tak boleh merayau-rayau dlm bas. tak boleh suruh dia berenti nk g toilet suka-suki je.. nanti behind our schedule.. punctual nak mampos.. 5 min before nak move to other destination dah kena ada dlm bas. bla bla bla.. muka pun mcm hampeh je. tak mesra alam lsg. deduksinya, so most of the time, gua mmg menyampah dgn dia ni.
perjalanan from Lucerne to Paris adalah sgt jauh. memakan masa selama lebih kurang 10 jam jugak la..so dlm bas gua mmg layan MP3 la. tapi ada pulak kanak2 ribena dlm grup pakej ni yg suka menegur dan bermesra-mesra ngan gua. tak kan la nk bolayan kan. kejam tahap dewa plak. so gua pun dah mengdowngrade kan tahap kematangan gua utk adapt dgn kanak2 ni.. (along, angah, khazim ntah sape lg sorang ntah, Lili kot).
view from Lucerne to Paris boleh tahan (tapi tak secantik Swiss)... nmpk kilang renault, eurostar train tuh, Sugar beetsplantation.. byk gila. kat europe diaorg jrg mkn gula from sugar cane. source of sugar diaorg sugar beets la.. sugar beets ni better than sugar cane (maybe this is one of the reason kenape ramai diabetic in Malaysia).. view bila da nak sampai Paris boleh nmpk byk sgt vandalism.. kat mana2 wall, jambatan, flyover mesti ada graffiti.. conteng sana conteng sini.. not nice la even though ada gak design yg dahsyat kan..
Interesting facts about Paris;
1. byk gila dog's poo. so beware!
2. byk gila kereta mini. setakat smart for two tu, bersepah-sepah. convenience utk parking kot. sbb pe'el org Paris parking mmg ngeri. Parking mmg bumper to bumper, gua pun heran mcm mana dia nk keluar dr parking space nnt. dia angkat letak tepi ke? adakah dia akan parking kereta mcm ending kungfu hustle tu? tak tercapai dek akal.
3. harga coffee yg sama jenis berbeza-beza dr segi tempat mana ko lepak. kalo lepak duduk minum kat outdoor/kaki lima kdeai tu ko kena byr mahal sket. kalo ko duduk dlm minum murah sket. kalo ko berdiri minum kt dlm cafe adalah cara yg plg murah. pilih la yg mana satu ko nak w/pun coffee nye adalah jenis yg sama dan amount yg sama.
4. the best croissant adalah kat Paris. (cara nak menyebut 'quah-son'). sedap tak hengat. don't ask me about the ingredients, I don't want to know  .
